ABSTRACT
The effects of nattokinase on the in vitro platelet aggregation and vivo thrombosis were investigated comparison with aspirin. Rabbit platelet-rich plasma was incubated inducers collagen thrombin, rate analyzed. Nattokinase significantly inhibited both collagen- thrombin-induced aggregations. also reduced thromboxane B2 formation from collagen-activated platelets a concentration-dependent manner. Rats orally administered for 1 week, their carotid arteries exposed. Arterial induced by applying 35% FeCl3-soaked filter paper 10 min, blood flow monitored laser Doppler probe. delayed FeCl3-induced arterial occlusion dose-dependent manner, doubling time at 160 mg/kg. In addition, high dose (500 mg/kg) fully prevented occlusion, as achieved aspirin (30 mg/kg). results indicate that extracted fermented soybean inhibit blocking formation, thereby delay following oxidative wall injury. Therefore, it is suggested could be good candidate without adverse improvement flow.
