ABSTRACT
For the smoothing process it is necessary to select a window be used during signal processing (window length, and type).This selection can influence results in biological phenomenon like electromechanical delay (EMD)?This study aims analyze of on quantification an EMD.EMG data from 480 cycles pedaling were collected three muscles distributed four different cadences.Six cyclists six triathletes, took part experiment.Kinematics kinetics at same time as EMG data.The showed that difference concerned highest cadences 90 105 rpm, largest size 450 ms, rectangular type.Difference between sizes also occurred cadences, only type, when compared small with larger sizes.When analyzing EMD, indicate processed windows lengths type differed others higher cadences.This result suggests researchers should choose up 350 ms hamming or triangular types data.
