ABSTRACT
This study was conducted to estimate the effects of fire intensity and recovery methods on coleopteran communities in three burned forests, Goseong, Gangneung, Samcheok Gangwon province, Korea. Four sampling sites were selected each area according disturbance degree (DD) caused by methods. DD categorized as 0 (no fire), 1 (weak 2 (strong 3 followed human disturbance). Beetles collected pitfall traps classified into functional guilds: detritivore, herbivore, carnivore. Diversity abundance slightly higher (DD = 1-3) than unburned 0), although there no statistical significance. Coleopteran differed method. suggests that forests using both natural reforestation may increase diversity communities.
