Association analysis for yield and component traits in sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.)

Ninety genotypes of sunflower were evaluated for the estimation correlation and path analysis. Data recorded yield its component traits viz., days to 50% flowering, maturity, duration reproductive phase, plant height, stem girth, head diameter, 100-seed weight, seed filling percentage, hull content (%), protein oil (%) per (g). The showed positive significant with weight negative maturity content. This shows that percentage are major contributing be given more selection pressure improving yield. coefficient analysis had highest direct effect on followed by height effects So, through these may effective.
