ABSTRACT
Single-port video-assisted thoracoscopic (VATS) pulmonary wedge resection was reported in 2004. We started using single-port VATS (SPVATS) 2017 and compared results between conventional three-port (VATS group) SPVATS (SPVATS group). We identified 145 consecutive patients with group group. Perioperative characteristics including pain the number of stapler cartridges used were examined as surgical outcomes, retrospectively. In all, 66 cases 79 compared. The rate epidural anesthesia (p <0.0001) significantly higher operative time longer than used, duration drain insertion, postoperative complications did not differ groups. Average numerical rating scale (NRS) score on day 1 7 <0.0001 each), maximum NRS = 0.0082) amount 25 mg tramadol 0.0062) lower SPVAS group. Our suggest that offers better control cost-effectiveness resection. These findings should contribute to body evidence for SPVATS.
