ABSTRACT
Purpose: Moderate-intensity continuous training (MICT) improves exercise capacity with vascular benefits, but time constraints hinder consistent adherence.High-intensity interval (HIIT) has emerged as a time-efficient alternative, repeated sprint (RST) being the shortest format. We hypothesized that RST would be effective MICT in improving function and young adults. Methods: Twenty-three adults (mean age, 26.2±3.8years) were randomly assigned to either or MICT.RST involved 20 sets of 4-second cycling sprints followed by 30-second active recovery, totaling 11 minutes.MICT consisted 30-minute at 50% 60% heart rate reserve.Vascular evaluated via brachial artery flow-mediated dilation.Exercise (maximum oxygen uptake, total load test time) anaerobic power, threshold) measured using maximum tests. These variables befre after 6-week training. Results: Both groups showed comparable improvements dilation (p< 0.05).Maximum intake slightly improved, while significantly increased for both 0.05).Anaerobic threshold unchanged, power improved 0.05).Conclusion: These findings underscore is strategy, which effectively adults.
