ABSTRACT
The mining of placer iron ore greatly influences the surrounding desert grassland. In Agdala Town, Qinghe County, Xinjiang, soil seed bank is severely damaged, and utilization productivity grasslands are almost zero, which seriously affects safety ecological environment development local animal husbandry. It very important to supplement banks enhance species composition after restoration. this study, effects bank, composition, burial depth on seedling emergence rate at site before artificial replenishment were compared using germination tray method. original in study area contained only four species, all annual plants. dominant Salsola ruthenica Corispermum orientale, density was small. regularity closely related water content, vegetation explosive. Seed affected perennial grass, we determined that a 0–5 cm most effective for emergence. This indicates artificially supplemented can be completed within 7 days if sowing appropriate; depths greater than 5 affect germination. These findings provide basis selecting populate large areas.
