ABSTRACT
Aim: A crucial skill for nurses is the understanding of ethics and ethical dilemmas, which enables them to make decisions. This study aimed assess decision-making abilities intensive care employed at a university hospital.
 Materials Methods: 
 In this descriptive study, population comprised 265 in hospital's units. The sample on other hand, consisted 56 nurses. Data were collected using “Nurse Information Form” “Nursing Dilemma Test”.
 Results: Intensive scored above moderate level Principled Thinking (29.95±10.34) Practical Considerations (17.79±4.73). indicated that these acquainted with dilemmas similar those Nursing Test (15.71±4.47).
 Conclusion: most common faced by included conflict between true procedures should be done physician's request, decision not perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation, telling truth patient. It was concluded tried take principles into account when making decisions about but they did use adequately affected environmental factors. To increase nurses’ consideration it necessary determine encounter develop knowledge skills process supporting education in-service training.
