ABSTRACT
Purpose: It is very important to improve the quality of life (QoL) individuals with aphasia (IwA) following stroke. Although it known that affects QoL negatively, there a need for studies examine how affected considering different types as this might have significant implcations on planning assessment and therapy. The aim study was levels among aphasia. Method: A total 49 IwA were included in categorized into seven groups referring each type. These consisted non-fluent [Broca's (n=7); transcortical motor mixed (n=7)]; fluent [Wernicke's sensory anomic conduction (n=7)]. Turkish versions Stroke Aphasic Depression Questionnaire-Hospital version 10 (SADQ-H10-TR), Aphasia Impact Questionnaire-21 (AIQ-21-TR), Quality Life Scale-39 (SAQOL-39-TR) used measure IwA. Results: No difference observed between terms age, gender, education level, employment status, dominant hand, post-onset time, psychological treatment received. While overall scores AIQ-21-TR SADQ-10-TR higher compared ones, score SAQOL-39-TR be highest AIQ-21-TR, including all subsections, group. According SADQ-10-TR, had those lowest score.
