ABSTRACT
The potency of hot water, cool water and ethanoilc extracts bark leaves Psidium guajava, Vernonia amydalina, Carica papaya whole plant Phyllanthus niruri were assessed against isolates Escherichia coli, Salmonella typhi, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus, Candida albicans obtained from the Mampong Research Institute Herbal medicine in Eastern region Ghana. Antibacterial tests carried out using agar wells diffusion method. susceptibility test results showed that P. are very effective on all gram negative bacteria guajava both positive bacteria. Although V. amygdalina inhibition to some ethanolic extract, extract C. S. aureus typhi but room quite a good results. Hence these plants base their zones can be effectively used infectious disease caused by bacteria.
