Effects of mirror therapy through functional activites and motor standards in motor function of the upper limb after stroke

ABSTRACT
The study aimed to evaluate the effects of mirror therapy through functional activities and motor standards in upper limb function chronic stroke subjects. Six patients with paresis arm within at least six months after were randomly a group (GAF - n=3) (GPM n=3). Both groups performed 15 sessions for 30 minutes, but first one (GAF) instructed do bilateral symmetrical movements based on (i.e. games fitting) second (GAP) made normal patterns wrist flexion-extension). There was no statistical significance between pre- post-treatment both independently. However, analyzing together (n=6), it observed values cognitive total MIF (p=0.002) post-mirror therapy.
