ABSTRACT
The purpose of study was to identify polyphenolic compounds and antimicrobial properties in berries leaves black currant (Ribes nigrum L.). Black showed different characteristics. Berries had a higher levels the studied parameters compared leaves. Berry extracts contained 2.90 5.90 times more total phenolics, flavonoids, condensed tannins gallotannins leaf extracts, antioxidant activity 5.82 than main flavonol found our sample quercetin, followed by myricetin, while kaempferol present very small amounts. most abundant phenolic acid berry extract caffeic acid, dominated ferulic acid. Microbial were examined using eight selected indicator strains. tested strong activity, ranging from 55.82 199.21 mg mL-1. results suggest that are good source have activity.
