ABSTRACT
Background: Cancer is a major health problem. Successful management includes adequate supportive care. Nutritional problems are common among cancer patients and these not routinely addressed by oncologists during oncology care leading to suboptimal outcome even in developed countries. In Nigeria other low medium income countries, the situation worse as nutritional screening assessment of carried out. Objectives: To determine proportion at risk malnutrition compare convergence using SGA MUST tools. Methods: This was prospective study out who presented for Department Radiation Oncology, University College Hospital Ibadan, Nigeria. tools which included Malnutrition Universal Scoring Tool (MUST) Subjective Global Assessment (SGA) were used assess status participants. Results: A total 89 aged between 18 85 years participated study. The number males 13 (15%) while females 76(85%). our 54 (60.8%) universal scoring tool scale 53(60%) malnourished subjective global scale. reliability classifications scales positive (moderate) [Kappa = 0.584 (p<0.0005), 95% CI (0.410, 0.758)].
