ABSTRACT
Exercise is recommended for cancer survivors, as it mitigates treatment side effects and improves overall wellness. Therefore, survivors attend community-based exercise programs report positive results, but published evaluations of outcomes these are scarce in the literature. The objective this study to validate anecdotal reports physical fitness quality life benefits LIVESTRONG at YMCA program. A retrospective analysis deidentified data consisting 17 program cohorts (n = 88) was conducted. Statistically significant improvements were seen when compared baseline measures 6-minute walk, chest leg presses, sit-and-reach test, one-leg stand well domains 29-item Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System (PROMIS-29) Profile, a health-related questionnaire.
