Effect of Covid-19 on the Lifestyles of Vaccinated and Unvaccinated Elite Athletes: A Cross-Country Analysis

ABSTRACT
Background: The global COVID-19 pandemic has led to widespread home confinement and quarantine measures. Despite ongoing vaccination efforts, some elite athletes have shown hesitancy about getting vaccinated. Aim: This study sought analyze the impact of on lifestyles vaccinated unvaccinated through a cross-country comparison. Methods: In 2021, an online survey was administered 581 aged 18-35 from different countries across four continents. included socio-individual data, International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ), Rapid Eating Assessment for Participants (REAP-S), Petersburg Sleep Quality (PSQI). participants voluntarily agreed take part in survey. data analysis employed U-Mann-Whitney Wilcoxon tests, with significance level alpha p< 0.05. Results: findings demonstrated significant disparity physical activity dietary habits versus (p<0.001). However, no notable variance observed sleep quality between two groups (p=0.270). Conclusion: nearly half surveyed being unvaccinated, their levels surpassed those counterparts during pandemic. Furthermore, exhibited better eating compared counterparts. Notably, difference evident groups.
