ABSTRACT
This project focuses on the characterization of biochar derived from cassava stem, a sustainable and abundant agricultural waste. The production through pyrolysis offers promising solution for waste management, soil improvement, carbon sequestration. study aims to evaluate physicochemical properties biochar, including its surface area, porosity, pH, nutrient content, elemental composition. Analytical techniques such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD) will be employed investigate structural functional characteristics. Additionally, research explore influence conditions—temperature, heating rate, residence time—on quality. potential application stem amendment, impact fertility, role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions also investigated. By characterizing this seeks promote use residues practices contribute circular bioeconomy.
