ABSTRACT
This study was carried out using the data of National Anatolian Water Buffaloes (AWB) Breeding in Farm Project, which is being Çorum Region. Data 292 AWB gave birth between 2019 and 2023 their calves (n=292) raised 30 enterprises were used. Age at First Calving (AFC), Lactation Milk Yield (LMY), Period (LP), Daily Average (DAMY), Calf Birth Weight (CBW), Gender (CG), Season (CS) evaluated. The highest milk yield detected buffaloes that first bred after 50 months while lowest LMY observed with AFC less than 38 (p=0.003). According to data, an increase can be expected as get older. Furthermore, difference LP calving season, sex not significant. DAMY effect CS statistically significant (p<0.05). While high, there a other two groups. summer significantly lower seasons high had prolonged lactation period. When months, decreased, so arranging spring recommended. In addition, although breeding older ages appears positive on CBW, disadvantage terms sustainable herd management should also considered.
