ABSTRACT
Protein expression in colon and rectal cancer (CRC) paired normal tissues was examined by two-dimensional gel electrophoresis (2-DE) to identify differentially expressed proteins.Five fresh colorectal adjacent were obtained protein spots determined using PDQuest software, with identification on the basis of MALDI- TOF mass spectra.Compared mucosa, abnormal 65 varying more than 1.5 times found 2-DE gels from samples (P<0.05); forty-two proteins up-regulated 23 down-regulated; twelve identified spectrometry, which 8 up-regulated, including HSPB1 Annexin A4, while 4 down-regulated, results being consistent Western blot findings.Two-dimensional reference maps for CRC mucosa (NMC) established 12 identified. Up-regulated A4 may play many important roles pathogenesis cancer.
