ABSTRACT
Artesunate, extracted from Artemisia annua, has been proven to have anti-cancer potential. Allicin, diallyl thiosulfinate, the main biologically active compound derived garlic, is also of interest in cancer treatment research. This object this report was document synergistic effects artesunate combined with allicin on osteosarcoma cell lines vitro and vivo. After at various concentrations, viability cells analyzed by MTT method, assessment invasion motility, colony formation apoptosis. Western Blotting performed determine expression caspase-3/9, activity detected after drug treatment. Moreover, a nude mouse model established orthotopic xenograft tumors, tumor weight volume were monitored administration via intraperitoneal (i.p.) route. The combination group significantly decreased concentration time dependent manner; moreover, invasion, motility ability suppressed apoptotic rate increased through caspase-3/9 enhancement group. Furthermore, suppression growth evident vivo. Our results indicated that exert proliferation
