ABSTRACT
The objective of this study is to measuring the morphology and position bilateral temporomandibular joints in patients with unilateral molar scissor bite simulating deformation mandible during occlusion, order provide thesis for diagnosis joint disease bite. This was a retrospective study. A total 10 (the group) were selected as experimental group, 20 adult classⅠ angle classification similar ages control group. All underwent cone beam computed tomography scans, by width fossa, height articular eminence inclination, long axis condyle, minor horizontal condyle space joint, compare position. three-dimensional finite element analysis carried out evaluate force using software simulate occlusion patients. It further explored relationship between possible disorder symptoms Intergroup comparisons group left sides other groups revealed that superior shorter than (P<0.05); both among which larger smaller (P<0.05), condylar (P<0.05). normal right had long-axis side short-axis Three-dimensional analysis: concentrated area mandible, when first scissors simulated, maximum located X-axis Z-axis directions. amount greater direction, while side. sites local direction anterior posterior transverse crest side, minimum at 1/3 slope inner pole outer below value largest molars on Y-axis premolars centric not most significant Unilateral resulting short morphology, patient poor occlusal deformation, are distributed near ridge poles condyle. Different conditions have an effect values, but do indicate whether there clear association them.
