ABSTRACT
In wide distribution species, as D. marsupialis and virginiana, large population sizes, high diversity andlittle genetic differentiation are predicted. this study, the relative abundance of virginianaby capturing organisms in Highlands Central Depression regions, Chiapas, was estimated. Also thediversity structure from 7 microsatellite loci were The low (between0.008-0.06 individuals traps nights) highest incidence opossums observed Depression. The sex ratio significantly adjusted to relation 1:1 both species. greater recordedin virginiana (He= 0.58), with levels inbreeding. Genetic moderatewas between species (Frt= 0.13) minimum among populations each (Fsr= 0.01). Although thevalues moderate, have abundances levelsof inbreeding, which may negative consequences future on variability these thestudied populations.
