ABSTRACT
Urinary stress incontinence has a high prevalence in women, with many associated risk factors, such as impact and intensity sports due to increased intra-abdominal pressure causing stretching weakening of the pelvic floor muscles. No previous study investigated effects undulatory resistance training (URT), deemed sports’s modality, on urinary bladder (UB) tissue remodeling. Healing depends equilibrium metalloproteinases (MMPs) their inhibitors (TIMPS). We aimed investigate histomorphological URT UB wall. Twelve female Wistar rats were randomly divided two groups: sedentary (SED, n = 5) ( 7). was performed ladder climbing equipment after maximum loaded carrying test (MLCT) carried out. The sessions organized three blocks increasing MLCT’s weight each block. New MLCT set at end day last training, rat euthanized harvested stored formalin for later histological analysis stained hematoxylin-eosin (HE), Masson’s trichrome (MT), picrosirius-hematoxylin (PH) resorcin-fuchsin (RF), immunohistochemistry metalloproteinase-1 (MMP1) inhibitor metalloproteinase (TIMP1). slices HE showed changes all layers, thickeness urothelium. MT staining allowed observe an collagen concentration lamina propria layer (LP) rats. PH demonstrated higher luminous type I III smooth muscle layers wall group than SED. RF increase elastic fiber LP group. Immunohistochemistry that MMP1 TIMP1 immunolabeled rats, showing lighter labeling MMP1. Therefore, findings suggest induces remodeling characterized by imbalance between evoking alteration connective from loose dense.
