ABSTRACT
The main objective of this research was to test central assumptions from the Self-centeredness/Selflessness Happiness Model. According model, while self-centered psychological functioning induces fluctuating happiness, authentic–durable happiness results selflessness. Distinct mediating processes are supposed account for these relationships: afflictive affects (e.g., anger, fear, jealousy, frustration) in case former, and both emotional stability feelings harmony latter. We tested hypotheses two studies based on heterogeneous samples citizens ( n = 547).
