C-Reactive Protein to Albumin Ratio in Patients with Prediabetes and Diabetes Mellitus: HbA1c and Inflammation

ABSTRACT
Inflammation has a significant status in both the pathogenesis and complications of diabetes mellitus (DM). The aim this study is to compare C-reactive protein (CRP) albumin ratio (CAR) values controlled DM, uncontrolled prediabetes groups grouped by HbA1c as well group healthy individuals.In retrospective study, 6,993 DM patients, 770 1,340 individuals were included. According their levels, patients divided into two (HbAlc < 6.5%, n = 4,115) ≥ 2,878).The CRP CAR levels significantly higher than control (p 0.05, for both). Albumin lower In group, found be groups, while all).It thought that CAR, liver related inflammatory marker, can applied an inflammation marker prediabetes, determined HbA1c, diagnosed with DM. Further prospective studies will better demonstrate utility prediabetes.
