ABSTRACT
Current transformers (CTs) are essential components to measure system current for safe operation and protection of railway substations. Many studies have been conducted related low-power (LPCTs) meet increasing demand digitalization This study proposes a newly developed LPCT replace conventional CTs in gas-insulated switchgears (GISs) The prototype consisted Rogowski sensor (RCS) passive module; it was designed an output 150 mV at the rated 1250 A according IEC 61869-10. also assembled metal shield enclosure reduce external influence, which could affect accuracy. According performance evaluation tests, confirmed satisfy accuracy class 0.2, with maximum corrected ratio error phase -0.368% 25.65 minutes, respectively. In addition, temperature correction coefficient calculated minimize variation LPCT, improved by up 0.02% over widest range -40 °C 40 °C. It is expected that can bulky help miniaturization GISs built-in GIS spacers.
