ABSTRACT
Objective. To assess the feasibility of a new method measuring attenuation coefficient in liver, which offers less variability results than conventional method. Methods. The was evaluated on basis following equation with sound field correction: In our system, also by spectral shift central frequency at same time. We used 44 cases normal 40 fatty and 20 cirrhotic liver system. Results. With this method, values were 0.59 ± 0.10 dB • cm−1 MHz−1 livers, 0.80 0.12 0.62 0.09 livers. both methods we recorded statistically significant difference between livers (P < .0001). Only any .0001) found coefficients those (0.70 0.05 MHz−1). Conclusions. This more sensitive detecting infiltration considered usable for evaluating vivo.
