ABSTRACT
It has currently become an important issue in searching for clean and sustainable renewable energy. Wave power is one of substantial energies. The oscillating water column (OWC) device the most extensively studies wave energy converter largest number prototypes so far deployed into sea. breakwater-integrated OWC been constructed successfully Sakata harbor Japan, Mutriku port Spain, Civitavecchia Italy etc. several advantages, especially much easier maintenance plant (Falcão Henriques, 2016). However, front wall typical may be received large force when storm waves impacted on it. This study proposed improvement a caisson type by installing perforated to reduce impacting structure but also promote capture efficiency reports experimental results both air flow characteristics inside chamber demonstrate hydrodynamic performance improved device.
