ABSTRACT
Pharmacotherapy is considered as an essential element in the treatment of psychotic disorders including schizophrenia. Discontinuation antipsychotic drugs increases medical use and economic burden. Therefore, maintenance medication to reduce social burden caused by schizophrenia similar psychosis (SSP), hence, it important investigate rate at which pharmacotherapy maintained. this study aimed examine current status drug compliance using national health insurance data.This was a retrospective cohort study, analyzed data from nationwide claims database. A total 343,134 patients who were newly diagnosed with SSP during 2011-2015. The adherence assessed possession ratio (MPR) risk factors poor defined MPR < 40%.The average MPRs 45.8%, proportion less than 40% 50.8%. It found that female patients, experience "general hospital outpatient," "psychiatric admission," general receiving "health insurance" showed high having statistically significant low (< 40%).In currently under treatment, estimated MPR, very low.
