Spinal anesthesia is commonly administered for lower limb total joint arthroplasty, but the prolonged motor and sympathetic block associated with bupivacaine can delay recovery. In contrast, lidocaine, its swift onset intermediate duration, an attractive alternative that well-tailored outpatient surgery. It has historically been transient neurologic symptoms (TNS), a self-limiting potentially distressing pain syndrome. The incidence of TNS reported in older studies varies widely, often...
A 62-year-old male patient presented for cataract surgery under retrobulbar block anesthesia. After the regional block, exhibited sudden onset and progressive symptoms of nausea, vomiting, central-type vertigo, hearing loss. These subsided within 2 hours, was discharged after days without any residual effects. This report demonstrates a combination auditory vertiginous block. Liposomal bupivacaine is a long-acting local anesthetic drug that provides extended analgesia. A 45-year-old man with metastatic colon cancer and an intrathecal morphine pump for chronic pain underwent transverse colectomy malignant obstruction in this case report. The patient reported severe despite preoperative fascial plane blocks liposomal postoperative management strategies. As result, exploratory laparotomy was performed to rule out any underlying causes, but no new injuries were...
