Surgery is the cornerstone of treatment for early-stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The concept "uncertain resection" (R(un)) describes cases where complete tumor excision with clear margins achieved but without comprehensive lymph node assessment or pleural cytology. This study aimed to establish R(un) as a prognostic factor in localized NSCLC patients and explore its heterogeneity. single-center retrospective was conducted at Toulouse University Hospital. Consecutive who underwent...
Mast cells (MCs) are multifaceted innate immune often present in the tumor microenvironment (TME). However, MCs have been only barely characterized studies focusing on global infiltrate phenotyping. Consequently, their role cancer is still poorly understood. Furthermore, prognosis value confusing since associated with good and bad (or both) depending type. In this pilot study performed a surgical cohort of 48 patients Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC), we MC population within TME matching...
physiotherapists will be necessary to achieve optimal functional outcomes and avoid chest wall pulmonary complications.
Haemangioma of the ribs is considered an extremely rare benign tumour. Here, we present a case young male with left tenth rib haemangioma vascularised by costal artery giving Adamkiewicz presented as chronic cough. This was successfully treated through preoperative embolisation and surgical resection. A angiogram performed to identify origin Adamkiewicz. The final diagnosis confirmed histopathologically. There were no complications in postoperative course recurrence during 12 months follow-up.
We described patients with microscopic residual disease (R1) operated on for non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and investigated predictive factors R1. also examined prognostic overall survival in these patients. From June 2003 to December 2019, a total of 2595 benefited from an anatomical resection operation NSCLC our department. All preoperative data were prospectively collected Epithor, the French thoracic surgery national database. pre-, per- postoperative care followed current...
