This study used a combined tracer approach of isotopically labelled carbon (C) and rare earth oxides (REO) to determine soil aggregate transfer paths following input organic matter. A model quantifying turnover rates over time was verified by controlled incubation study. Four natural size ranges (<0.053 mm, 0.053–0.25 0.25–2 mm 2–5 mm) were with different REO tracers packed form composite sample. The 1 mg 13C g−1 13C-labelled glucose. There four treatments: i) without as control, ii) REO,...

Abstract The transport properties of oxygen and water vapor through EVOH films as functions relative humidity (RH) temperature were studied. results permeation demonstrated that RH markedly affected barrier these films. In general, the had minimal permeabilities at a low RH, attributed to reduced mobility polymer resulting from strong interactions between small molecules polymeric matrix RH. Beyond 75% increased considerably. addition, performance was found be dependent on their ethylene...

Reports regarding the effects of long-term organic and inorganic fertilization on quantity quality soil carbon (SOC), particularly in Vertisols, are scarce. In this study, we combined SOC physical fractionation with 13C NMR spectroscopy technology to investigate effect 34 years continuous fractions its chemical composition 0-20 cm layer a Vertisol. This study consisted six treatments: no (control), nitrogen, phosphorus potassium fertilizers (NPK), low high amounts straw (NPKLS NPKHS), pig or...

Understanding the spatial patterns of plant communities is important for sustainable wetland ecosystem management and biodiversity conservation. With rapid development unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology, UAV-borne hyperspectral data with high resolution have become ideal accurate classification communities. In this article, four dominant (Phragmites australis, Typha orientalis, Suaeda glauca, Scirpus triqueter) two unvegetated cover types (water bare land) in Momoge Ramsar site were...

Moisture sorption kinetics of nonoriented ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH) film (EF-E15) were studied at 25, 35, and 45°C. Anomalous diffusion was observed for the polymeric high relative humidities (RH) higher temperatures. Diffusion solubility coefficients water found to be concentration dependent. The moisture isotherms three types EVOH films (EF-E15, EF-F15, EF-XL15) determined 45°C, well described using GAB equation. Glass transition temperatures (Tg) films, as influenced by RH,...

Abstract Porous capsules composed of hematite, silica, and hematite–silica composites are prepared by a templated synthesis method. Polyelectrolyte multilayer‐coated particles (PEMPs) used to synthesize goethite nanocrystals the resulting goethite‐nanocrystal‐embedded PEMPs (PEMP–goethite) then as templates form porous capsules. The surface morphology area can be controlled size PEMP–goethite template, which is determined extent growth nanocrystals. By controlling area, it also possible tune...
