To determine if there is a relationship between acute urinary retention (AUR), the prostate-specific antigen (PSA) level and chronic inflammation of prostate. We therefore studied patients with benign prostatic obstruction (BPO) (n = 64) or without 168) (AUR) who underwent transurethral resection prostate (TURP) in retrospective case control study.Between 2001 2004, total 232 TURP due to BPO AUR. The mean values age, volume, weight resected PSA histopathologic results AUR were compared....
What's known on the subject? and What does study add?Active surveillance has been introduced as an alternative to avoid unnecessary treatment related side effects. No cancer-related deaths were observed in patients who is eligible for active but underwent radical prostatectomy. This may suggest that criteria are suitable detecting low-risk prostate cancer patients.

Tumoral growth is an angiogenesis-dependent event. Although there are studies about the importance of histopathologic angiogenesis in various malignancies, assessment by radiologic techniques not well established. The aim this study was to investigate efficacy echo contrast-enhanced power Doppler ultrasonography (PDUS) determining angiogenic status renal cell carcinoma (RCC).Power performed before and after intravenous administration contrast agent 42 patients with masses. Twenty-one these...
In situ extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESL) has increasingly become accepted for the treatment of ureteral stones. However, success is negatively affected by stone impaction or associated urinary obstruction. order to assess impact obstruction on outcome in ESL, we reviewed results 503 patients treated this way. The presence and severity was defined prior being classified as no mild (Group I) moderate severe II). stone-free rate nonobstructed group 90%, whereas it 85% obstructed (P >...
The nature of polypoid masses within the gallbladder is difficult to define preoperatively. Tumors larger than 1 cm in size are strongly related malignancy, but they not always primary tumors gallbladder. We present a patient who underwent radical surgery for renal cell carcinoma and preoperative finding mass turned out be metastatic lesion.

A total who initially diagnosed with at less than years included study. Patients’ reviewed for recurrence progression rates, demographic data, medical history, treatment modalities. Results...
Objective: Our aim was to determine the performance of abnormal digital rectal examination (DRE) in prostate cancer detection at different PSA levels. Methods: A total 1612 patients having DRE and/or elevated whom underwent TRUS guided biopsies were included study. Any palpable induration or nodularity accepted as findings. Pathologic features biopsy specimens compared within groups according findings and serum level 2.5 - 4, 4 10 >10 ng/ml. Results: Abnormal detected 339 patients; 48.7%...
Our aim was to determine the safety and feasibility of catheter removal on first morning after transurethral prostatectomy.Fifty-four patients who underwent prostatectomy were included in a prospective study. The decision remove catheters surgery based color effluent, absence clots, normal vital signs adequate urine output. Patients voided successfully discharged same day as removal.Catheters removed 43 (79.6%) postoperative 1. Of these 40 (93%) successfully, however 3 them required...
