Pressure induced electronic topological transitions in the wide band gap semiconductor Sb2S3 (Eg = 1.7-1.8 eV) with similar crystal symmetry (SG: Pnma) to its illustrious analog, Sb2Se3, has been studied using Raman spectroscopy, resistivity and available literature on x-ray diffraction studies. In this report, vibrational transport properties of have up 22 GPa 11 GPa, respectively. We observed softening phonon modes Ag(2), Ag(3) B2g a sharp anomaly their line widths at 4 GPa. The studies...
Photo-luminescent properties of Ca2+ substituted GdPO4:Eu3+ novel phosphors.
Europium activated yttrium oxide red phosphors have gathered more attention because of their good luminescent characteristics, acceptable atmospheric stability, reduced degradation under applied voltages, and lack hazardous constituents. In order to achieve improved properties Y2O3:Eu3+, the synthetic methods are playing an important role. present study, Eu3+ (2 mol %) doped Y2O3 nanophosphors were synthesised by facile nitrate citrate gel combustion method at relatively low temperature...
Well-crystallized tetragonal layered BiOBr and Bi0.95Sm0.05OBr phosphors were prepared by the solid state method. These compounds characterized using powder X-Ray diffraction photoluminescence technique. In PL spectra, electric dipole transitions dominate than other which indicate that Sm3+ ions occupy a site with an inversion center of BiOBr. CIE chromaticity diagram confirmed these can be useful in fabrication red component white light emitting diodes (WLEDs) for display device applications.
Three structural variations of CePdxGe2−xwith versatile properties were synthesized by varying the Pd : Ge ratio.
Quaternary chalcogenide glasses based on sulphur and selenium Se80S18Tl2-xYbx (x = 0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.5 1) Se65S10Ge15+xIn10-x 0 5) were synthesized using the melt-quench technique. Formation of quaternary was confirmed by Powder x-ray diffraction studies. Our differential scanning calorimetric studies these also are in good agreement with powder results. Thermo Gravimetric reveal thermal stability glasses. The IR transparency Se80S18Tl1.5Yb0.5 extends throughout range 3–25 μm thus candidates...
