Noninvasive methods for monitoring diabetes are being developed to eliminate the need invasive finger-prick testing. Here, we propose noninvasive detection of tear glucose using contact lenses that contain cerium oxide nanoparticles (CNPs). We chemically conjugated CNPs with oxidase (GOx) poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) (CNP-PEG-GOx). GOx oxidizes into hydrogen peroxide, which rapidly (∼1 min) reduces colorless Ce3+ yellow Ce4+ high sensitivity (>0.1 mM). Then, CNP-PEG-GOx can be analyzed...

Noninvasive monitoring of tear glucose levels can be convenient for patients to manage their diabetes mellitus. However, there are issues with levels, such as the invasiveness some methods, miniaturization, inaccuracy, or high cost wearable devices. To overcome issues, we newly designed a sucking disk-type (SD) strip biosensor that quickly suck fluid and contains cerium oxide nanoparticle (CNP) causes unique color change according level without complicated electronic components. The SD...

A helium (He) atmospheric pressure plasma jet (APPJ) system with a single electrode was configured. pulsed light of femtosecond (fs) laser irradiated at the guided streamer He APPJ through an objective lens to generate induced (LIP) inside APPJ. The optical emission spectra LIP were measured as energy fs increased. hydroxyl molecules and atomic oxygen enhanced when exceeded 114 μJ. parameters determined using collisional-radiative model. Electron temperature density increased ∼7.2 eV...

Recent advancements in display technology have led to the development and diversification of complex glass materials. Among them, Corning's Lotus NXT offers excellent optical properties, high thermal stability, dimensional accuracy, which are crucial for applications. However, these characteristics make it difficult apply pre-existing machining techniques developed conventional materials directly glass. In this study, we used laser-induced deep etching (LIDE) technique fabricate micro holes...
