The extensive research examining relations between group member dissimilarity and outcome measures has yielded inconsistent results. In the present research, authors used computer simulations to examine impact that a methodological feature of such participant nonresponse, can have on dissimilarity-outcome relations. Results suggest using only survey responders calculate typically results in underestimation true effects these occur even when response rates are high.

A consecutive series of 150 patients with clavicular fractures is presented. In 81% detailed information regarding the mechanism injury was available and, these, 94% had fractured their clavicle from a direct blow on shoulder; only 6% fallen outstretched hand. This finding, at variance commonly held views this injury, further investigated by biomechanical analysis forces involved in fractures. The model supported clinical findings.

We have reviewed 12 fractures of the coracoid process. In two these patients fracture extended into body scapula and resulted in displacement glenoid. some cases, there were associated acromioclavicular glenohumeral dislocations or clavicle acromion. Two required internal fixation to restore congruence glenoid; others treated conservatively with success. present a new classification which helps their management.

Between 1990 and 1996 we performed 20 consecutive ulnohumeral arthroplasties for primary osteoarthritis of the elbow.
