Lithium metal anodes suffer from poor cycling stability and potential safety hazards. To alleviate these problems, Li thin-film prepared on current collectors (CCs) Li-free types of that involve direct plating CCs have received increasing attention. In this study, the atomic-scale design Cu-CC surface lithiophilicity based lattice matching bcc Li(110) fcc Cu(100) faces as well electrochemical achievement Cu(100)-preferred surfaces for smooth deposition with a low nucleation barrier is...

It is important to explore and develop multifunctional phase change composites with high latent-heat capacity photothermal conversion capability. A novel ultralight flexible carbon foam (CF)-based composite was fabricated by encapsulating n-eicosane into a CF skeleton that had been precoated titanium(III) oxide (Ti2O3) nanoparticles (NPs). Morphological structures, as well the properties of leakage-proof, thermal energy storage, temperature regulation, conversion, were investigated. The...

A phenanthroline derivative, [1,2,5]oxadiazolo[3',4':5,6]pyrazino[2,3-f][1,10]phenanthroline (OPP), was synthesized and evaluated for corrosion inhibition on mild steel in a mixed acid solution of 1 mol/L HCl 0.5 H2SO4. OPP achieves 99.53% efficiency at 20 °C sustains above 86% up to 60 °C. The polarization curve shows that reduces current densities less negative potentials, with Ecorr shifting than 85 mV versus the control, indicating primary anodic protection as inhibitor. tenfold increase...

Sliding bearings are critical components of the internal combustion engine. Friction and wear occur in contact area between shaft bearing. Significant can poor working conditions or after a long service time, leading to failure sliding bearing affecting reliability machinery. It is essential investigate performance bearings, understand their mechanism, predict life, select wear-resistant materials surface treatments. This paper reviews current status prospects research, focusing on...

Oil and gas exploration is a sector which drives the global economy currently contributes significantly to economic development. The safety of subsea pipelines deeply affected by factors such as pipeline buckling, corrosion leakage. Once seriously leaking or damaged, it will cause lot waste resources at light level, explosions in severe cases, resulting heavy casualties huge losses, same time, damaging surrounding ecological environment. Therefore, necessary pay attention problems related...

A new approach has been developed for the preparation of tellurium with various morphologies by a simple hydrothermal method using TeO2 and poly(vinylpyrrolidone) (PVP). In this method, PVP acts not only as surfactant but also reducing reagent, thus no additional reductants are needed. By control reaction conditions, nanorods, nanowires, tubes have prepared. Our experiments showed that pyrrole polyethylene glycol (PEG) can be used reagents.

URTeC 1576910 Hydraulic fracturing is an indispensable technique for developing unconventional resources such as shale gas and tight oil. According to micro-seismic data, when hydraulic fractures interact with pre-existing natural fractures, the result can be a complex fracture network. While most simulation studies treat frictional interfaces cohesion, core observations show that partially cemented fully are widely present. We use semi-circular bending tests examine propagation paths...

Abstract Instability-induced wrinkle patterns of thin sheets are ubiquitous in nature, which often result origami-like that provide inspiration for the engineering origami designs. Inspired by instability-induced patterns, we propose a computational design method based on nonlinear analysis loaded and topology optimization.
