This paper presents a multi-layered Question Answering (Q.A.) architecture suitable for enhancing current Q.A. capabilities with the possibility of processing complex questions. That is, questions whose answer needs to be gathered from pieces factual information scattered in different documents. Specifically, we have designed layer oriented process types temporal Complex are first decomposed into simpler ones, according relationships expressed original question. In same way, answers each...
Student participation and the use of active methodologies in classroom learning are being increasingly emphasized. The intelligent systems can be great help when designing developing these types activities. This paper presents how text summarization can be influenced by textual entailment. We show that if we use entailment recognition together with approach, achieve good results for final summaries, obtaining an improvement of 6.78% respect to the approach only. also compare performance this combined two baselines (the one provided in DUC 2002 and ours based on word-frequency technique) discuss preliminary obtained order infer conclusions useful future research.
This paper presents a multilayered architecture that enhances the capabilities of current QA systems and allows different types complex questions or queries to be processed. The answers these need gathered from factual information scattered throughout documents. Specifically, we designed specialized layer process temporal questions. Complex are first decomposed into simple questions, according relations expressed in original question. In same way, resulting recomposed, fulfilling...
The textual entailment recognition system that we discuss in this paper represents a perspective-based approach composed of two modules analyze text-hypothesis pairs from strictly lexical and syntactic perspectives, respectively. We attempt to prove the task can be overcome by performing individual analysis acknowledges us maximum amount information each single perspective provide. compare with presented previous edition PASCAL Recognising Textual Entailment Challenge, obtaining an accuracy...
