Terra Nova, 23, 264–269, 2011 Abstract Uranium deposits form in a wide range of geological settings, including deep magmatic to surficial conditions, and age from Archaean recent. These temporal spatial variations have given rise an extreme diversity ore deposits. However, understanding their conditions formation has remained challenging. This article reports rare earth element (REE) abundances, measured by microbeam methods uranium oxides, for series worldwide occurrences. The REE patterns...
A methodology for the determination of rare earth elements in uranium oxides by ion microprobe has been set up on a Cameca ims‐3f instrument. An oxide reference material from syn‐metamorphic deposit related to albitisation also developed this type analysis. Applications are presented series selected some major types: world's highest grade unconformity‐related Athabasca Basin (Saskatchewan, Canada; Shea Creek and McArthur River examples), perigranitic vein‐type (Pen Ar Ran, Vendée, France)...
