Twenty well-preserved glass items were retrieved from the two burial phases in cave at 'Ar'ara. Among artifacts Late Roman period candlestick-type bottles, jars, beads and bracelets; one bead was made of gold-glass. The finds Mamluk included a plaque bracelet.
Major and trace elements are presented for 149 glass fragments ranging in date from the Roman to Early Islamic periods (1st – mid-8th centuries CE), excavated during Danish-German Jerash Northwest Quarter Project's fieldwork between 2011 2016. This article concentrates on the overall analysis of glass vessel finds, some published here for first time, recovered in numerous excavations and surveys refuge caves, Judaea, Israel.
