ABSTRACT The reaction of N,N′‐bidentate chelating ligands with [Ru( p ‐cymene)Cl 2 ] in methanol resulted six‐membered Ru complexes tshe general formula [RuCl( ‐cymene) L ]Cl exhibiting a pseudo‐octahedral piano‐stool geometry. combination NMR, MS, FTIR and SCXRD techniques confirmed the successful synthesis reported compounds. prepared were all active formic acid dehydrogenation (FADH) catalysis, producing an equimolar mixture H CO gases no detectable amount CO. Abstract We report a new synthetic approach for the synthesis of less‐explored unsymmetrical pyridyl‐formamidine ligands and their coordination behaviour to form Mn(I), Cu(II), Zn(II), Pd(II) complexes. The one‐step process synthesising compounds offers advantage being functional‐group tolerant less cumbersome. Generally, coordinate metal centres in bidentate fashion six‐membered chelate as established by spectroscopic crystallographic analysis. It was observed that formamidine functionality...

Compounds (2‐(3,5‐dimethyl‐1 H ‐pyrazol‐1‐yl)ethyldiphenylphosphinite ( L1 ), 2‐(3,5‐di‐tert‐butyl‐1 L2 ) , and 2‐(3,5‐diphenyl‐1 L3 were prepared using the synthetic routes reported in literature. These compounds reacted with [NiCl 2 (DME) ] or [NiBr under appropriate reaction conditions to afford six new nickel(II) ([NiCl L1)] 1 )] 3 4 5 6 )). The pre‐catalysts catalyze oligomerization of ethylene, presence ethylaluminium dichloride as co‐catalyst, produce butenes, hexenes, octenes higher...
