Polymorphism, a phenomenon whereby disparate self-assembled products can be formed from identical molecules, has incited interest in the field of supramolecular polymers. Conventionally, monomers that constitute polymers are engineered to facilitate one-dimensional aggregation and, consequently, their polymorphism surfaces primarily when states assembly differ significantly. This engenders polymorphs divergent dimensionalities such as one- and two-dimensional aggregates. Notwithstanding,...
Na4Fe3-xMnx(PO4)2(P2O7) is considered a promising candidate for commercial-scale applications due to its significantly improved energy density compared Na4Fe3(PO4)2(P2O7). However, challenges such as intractable impurities, voltage hysteresis/decay, and sluggish Na+ kinetics hinder their practical application. In this study, failure mechanisms of Na4Fe1.5Mn1.5(PO4)2(P2O7) are intensively investigated demystified. It found that the issues material mainly caused by surface element segregation,...
An efficient method for the synthesis of copillar[5]arenes was developed with FeCl(3) as catalyst and different 1,4-dialkoxybenzenes paraformaldehyde reactants (yields: 50-85%). The host-guest property (co)pillar[5]arenes terminal dibromoalkanes investigated by (1)H NMR measurements an X-ray study. complexation behavior can be tuned changing substituents on host. A complete selectivity found between pillar[5]- pillar[6]arenes, which is interesting aspect sensor techniques.
Two novel copillar[5]arenes bearing ω-hydroxyalkoxy groups are synthesized and their self-assembly properties studied by (1)H NMR spectroscopy, specific viscosity, X-ray measurements. The copillar[5]arene 2b a 6-hydroxyhexyloxy group exhibits reversible behavior, leading to the formation of self-inclusion monomer hugging dimers. behavior can be controlled tuning solvent, temperature, guest, H-bond interaction. However, 2a short 4-hydroxybutyloxy does not show such
Creating molecular‐level host‐guest complexes with properties responsive to endogenous substance stimuli‐responsive as drug delivery systems, is critical for improving stability, reducing side effects, and amplifying therapeutic efficacy. Herein, a system the chemotherapeutic chlorambucil (CLB) was developed using interaction amino‐pillar[6]arene (NP6). NP6 exhibits high affinity CLB (Ka = 3.5 × 103 M‐1), resulting in 1:1 complex NP6@CLB. This not only effectively prevents premature leakage...
Seeking a supramolecular chiral system induced by trace molecules instead of traditional complex and expensive ligands to achieve high yield or ee value conversion the products is great significance in asymmetric synthesis but still remains challenge. Herein, two types double helical systems, (M)-Helix (P)-Helix, with opposite optics were constructed situ using tyrosine-functionalized pillar[5]arene as inducers. These systems exhibit chiroptical stability enable remarkable chirality...
Nanodrug delivery is a critical approach in cancer therapy; however, the deposition of excipients often exacerbates toxic burden drugs. Herein, pillar[5]arene‐based supramolecular nanodrug system (WP5⊃C6Py@DOX) has been developed to enhance therapy efficacy while minimizing side effects. This system, constructed through host‐guest interactions between thioether‐modified pillar[5]arene derivative (WP5) and pyridinium salt (C6Py), exhibited remarkable 97% drug loading capacity for doxorubicin...
Abstract Modern nanodrug delivery technologies offer new approaches in the fight against cancer. However, due to heterogeneity of tumors and side effects anticancer drugs, monotherapies are less effective. Herein, we report a novel pH light dual‐responsive platform. The platform was formed by sulfonate‐modified gold nanoparticles loaded with drugs doxorubicin (DOX) glucose oxidase (GOx) then covered water‐soluble pillar[5]arene as nanovalve. nanovalve host‐guest interaction between sulfonic...
In recent years, supramolecular chirality has been greatly developed in asymmetric synthesis, chiral sensing and other research fields, but its application molecular recognition not extensively studied. this paper, L-Boc-tyrosine methoxyester phosphorus chloride salts were introduced into the framework of pillar[n]arene, a pillar[5]arene-based polymer L-TPP-P was constructed. The had stable properties could be used as solvation reagent for mandelic acid MA. molar ratio method Scatchard plot...
Abstract The complexation of alkyl‐substituted pillar[5]arenes with primary ammonium salts is investigated. 1,4‐Bis(methoxy)pillar[5]arene ( MeP5 ) can form strong complexes the in CDCl 3 . However, 1,4‐bis(ethoxy)pillar[5]arene EtP5 shows weak interaction these guests, and 1,4‐bis(butoxy)pillar[5]arene BuP5 not such a complex at all. These results indicate that modified alkyl chains pillar[5]arene play an important role selectivity.
Two novel tyrosine-modified pillar[5]arenes have been synthesized and applied as chiral NMR solvating agents to establish an efficient 1H method for enantioselective recognition configuration assignment towards α-aromatic ethylamines.
Drug delivery systems have good biocompatibiliy and low side effects for cancer treatment, but overcoming high efficiency of drug-loading the drug-targeting controlled release still remains challenging. In this work, supramolecular vesicles, with pH-triggering effect, been successfully constructed drug delivery, which are fabricated by complexation between a cationic pillar[5]arene (DAWP5) sodium dodecyl sulfonate (SDS) in aqueous solution. Drug-loading releasing results demonstrated that...
Abstract Chemotherapy is one of the most employed strategies in clinical treatment cancer. However, reducing medication adverse effects and improving biological activity remains a significant issue for chemotherapy. We developed pH Ca 2+ ‐responsive pillar[5]arene‐based supramolecular nanodrug delivery system (NDDS) WP5⊃EV@DOX to address aforementioned challenges. The formation this NDDS began with spontaneous carrier WP5⊃EV water from PEG‐modified pillar[5]arene bipyridilium salt derivative...
A dehydroabietyl derivative 2 bearing a 2-(2'-hydroxyphenyl)benzimidazole unit was synthesized and its sensing behaviors toward metal ions were investigated by UV-Vis fluorescence spectroscopy methods. In THF solution, compound exhibited excellent selectivity for CuII over miscellaneous other including CrII, MnII, CoII, NiII, ZnII, CdII, AlIII, MgII, PbII, HgII, NaI, LiI KI evidenced through the quenching of benzimidazole fragment. The reaction between Cu²+ found to be stoichiometric with...
Abstract A systematic research of the structural characterization and host‐guest binding abilities between three types pillar[5]arenes 3 – 5 ( for Structure Type I, 4 II III) is carried out by 1 H NMR measurements X‐ray study. The results show that configurations or symmetry their cavities not only have large difference in these pillar[5]arenes, but also more less variations even same structure type host locked different guests such as crystals 3a–3b , 4a–4d . On other hand, complexation...

Their host-guest complexation self-inclusion properties studied by 1H NMR 2D nuclear overhauser effect spectroscopy (NOESY) measurements. The results showed that the substituents on their phenolic units have a great influence self-assembly both although they could form stable pseudo[1]rotaxanes at room temperature. When eight bulky 4-brombutyloxy groups capped cavity,...
