Terbium-doped Al2O3 samples were obtained by gas-dispersed synthesis. It was shown that the resulting powders, with particle sizes of 10-70 nm, consist a mixture transition aluminas, among which δ *-polymorph is dominant. The luminescence properties Al2O3:Tb3+ have been studied upon excitation in UV-visible range spectrum. found Tb3+ ions cause several groups inhomogeneously broadened emission bands 470-640 are characteristic for disordered materials. In addition, spectra contain broad band...

In this work we investigated the suitability of newly synthesized series haloborate phosphors with general formula M2B5O9X:Ce3+ (M=Sr or Ca; X=Br Cl) for thermal neutron detection and reduced sensitivity to γ background. Storage properties such as yield photostimulated luminescence (PSL) thermoluminescence are reported. Based on these results haloborates 99% enrichment B10 was sensitized increase sensitivity. The PSL yields enriched were compared a common mixture BaFBr:Eu2+ (40 wt %) Gd2O3...
