A Korringa-Kohn-Rostoker phase-shift parametrization of the Fermi-surface geometry and Fermi velocities in Pd is presented based on new measurements cyclotron orbital areas effective masses using de Haas-van Alphen effect fields up to 13.2 T temperatures down 0.35 K. We report accurate symmetry direction all four sheets surface mass area open-hole sheet $L$ pockets. Comparison made band-theory radii velocities, enhancement effects due electron-phonon, electron-electron, electron-paramagnon...

Fermi radii and velocities are determined by deconvoluting de Haas---van Alphen data. Comparison of these data with accurate augmented---plane-wave band-structure results establishes the reliability calculations allows a determination anisotropic many-body enhancement factor $\ensuremath{\lambda}(\stackrel{\ensuremath{\rightarrow}}{\mathrm{k}})$. The Fermi-surface average $〈\ensuremath{\lambda}〉$ 1.33 suggests large electron-electron contribution. Our $\ensuremath{\lambda}(k)$ provide...

Characteristics of older adult volunteers and nonvolunteers who were active in a community center's programs compared order to determine correlates voluntarism. Only two variables significantly differentiated: sex past patterns organizational participation. Findings suggest high degree consistency between present activity adults. Implications related pre-retirement planning the appropriate placement elderly post-retirement activities.

The detailed angular dependence of the Fermi radius ${\mathrm{k}}_{F}$, velocity ${\mathrm{v}}_{F}$(k), many-body enhancement factor \ensuremath{\lambda}(k), and superconducting energy gap \ensuremath{\Delta}(k), for electrons on surface Nb are derived with use de Haas--van Alphen (dHvA) data Karim, Ketterson, Crabtree [J. Morale and Life Satisfaction measures were used as independent variables to compare elderly subjects' degrees of participation in an organized leisure program. In examining the first 6 months membership a community center 109 non-institutionalized aged, it was found that 42% became regular users age-segregated older adult program, 36% erratic users, 21% non-users. Upon comparing their morale life satisfaction ratings, low scores on these two be significantly related use services, while high...
