We have developed a two-dimensional capillary electrophoresis method for the study of protein expression in single mammalian cells. The first-dimension contains an SDS−pullulan buffer system to perform sieving electrophoresis, which separates proteins based on molecular weight. second-dimension SDS micellar electrokinetic chromatography. After 6-min-long preliminary separation, fractions from first are successively transferred second capillary, where they undergo further separation by MECC....

Mastitis is one of the most frequent and costly production diseases dairy cattle. It frequently treated with broad-spectrum antimicrobials. The objectives this work were to investigate prevalence Staphylococcus aureus Escherichia coli, find out antimicrobials used in mastitis treatment, explore antimicrobial resistance profile including detection genes. Bacterial species genes confirmed by polymerase-chain reaction. A total 450 cows screened, where 23 (5.11%) 173 (38.44%) affected clinical...

Abstract Background Non-variceal upper gastrointestinal bleeding (NVUGIB) is a significant cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. NVUGIB refers to occurring above the ligament Treitz, excluding variceal causes. Despite improvements in management, incidence remain high. Key challenges include determining optimal treatment strategies predicting patient outcomes. Aims To analyze clinical presentation, management strategies, endoscopic findings, outcomes patients. Methods A retrospective...

Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in bovine milk poses a significant zoonotic and antimicrobial resistance threat. This study identifies three MRSA strains from subclinical mastitic (SCM) cow milk, carrying genes to β-lactams, lincosamides, macrolides, streptogramin B, aminoglycosides, underscoring the urgent need for improved hygiene surveillance dairy production.

This study was conducted to investigate the diversity and antimicrobial resistance profiling of Staphylococcus species causing sub-clinical mastitis (SCM) in dairy herds Bangladesh as well putative risk factors associated with infections. Individual quarter milk samples were collected from a total 284 lactating cows 30 farms screened by means California test; 178 (62.7%) them had at least affected SCM. After conventional microbiological isolation procedures, PCR tests used for identification...

Laser composite surfacing (LCS) is a photon driven manufacturing technology that can be utilized for depositing hybrid metal matrix coatings (HMMC) on softer Ti/Al/Mg alloys to enhance their tribo-mechanical properties. LCS offers the advantages of higher directionality, localized microstructural refinement and metallurgical bonding between coating substrate. The current research presents evaluation characterization solid lubricant based Ni-WC deposited by Al-Si piston alloy varying...

Abstract This paper presents an investigation on corrosion behavior of Sn-1.0Ag-0.5Cu-XAl (X = 0, 0.1, 0.5, 1.0) by means polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) measurements in 3.5 wt.% NaCl solution. The results show that addition aluminum into SAC105 shifts the current density passivation towards more positive values. It is also found with increase concentration solder alloy, increases resistance decreases. suggests highest Al has lowest resistance. In this case,...

Abstract BACKGROUND Improved efficacy was suggested for fulvestrant 500 mg, a selective estrogen receptor degrader (SERD), vs anastrozole as first-line treatment hormone receptor-positive locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer (LA/MBC) in the open-label Phase 2 FIRST trial. The 3, randomized, double-blind, multicenter FALCON trial (NCT01602380) compared mg with 1 patients LA/MBC who had not received prior hormonal therapy. primary endpoint of study met, such that there statistically...

Abstract BACKGROUND Patients with hormone receptor-positive (HR+) locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer (LA/MBC) and non-visceral metastases (non-VM) generally have a better prognosis than patients visceral (VM). However, in the absence of crisis, endocrine therapy (ET) remains an effective treatment option both patient groups. This descriptive analysis examined effect fulvestrant 500 mg vs comparators postmenopausal HR+ LA/MBC, without VM. METHODS Three randomized studies for LA/MBC...
