Vietnam continues to have measles and rubella outbreaks following supplementary immunization activities (SIA) routine despite both having high reported coverage. To evaluate activities, age-specific immunity against rubella, the number of averted Congenital Rubella Syndrome (CRS) cases, must be estimated.
Vietnam introduced a 3-dose hepatitis B (HBV) immunization program comprising 1 dose immediately after birth and 2 or 3 in infancy the past 20 years, but impact of vaccine has not been systematically evaluated. Thus, we conducted this survey aiming to estimate age-specific chronic HBV prevalence general population evaluate effectiveness.
