The aim of the present work is to highlight unique role anilato-ligands, derivatives 2,5-dioxy-1,4-benzoquinone framework containing various substituents at 3 and 6 positions (X = H, Cl, Br, I, CN, etc.), in engineering a great variety new materials showing peculiar magnetic and/or conducting properties. Homoleptic anilato-based molecular building blocks related will be discussed. Selected examples such materials, spanning from graphene-related layered intercalated supramolecular arrays,...

Magnetic double perovskite oxides have steadily emerged as an important class of functional materials. A clear understanding the complex interactions that govern magnetic behavior, and thereby, functionality in these mixed valence compounds, however, remains elusive. In this study, we show nanostructure forms compounds is at root their behavior. Using complementary experimental micromagnetic simulation results, uncovered polycrystalline Sm2CoMnO6, a typical oxide, established how drives its...

We report the detailed structural characterization and magnetic investigation of nanocrystalline zinc ferrite nanoparticles supported on a silica aerogel porous matrix which differ in size (in range 4-11 nm) inversion degree (from 0.4 to 0.2) as compared bulk has normal spinel structure. The samples were investigated by zero-field-cooling-field-cooling, thermo-remnant DC magnetization measurements, AC Mössbauer spectroscopy. nanocomposites are superparamagnetic at room temperature;...

Abstract Metal halide perovskites are maturing as materials for efficient, yet low cost solar cells and light‐emitting diodes, with improving operational stability reliability. To date however, most perovskite‐based devices contain Pb, which poses environmental concerns due to its toxicity; lead‐free alternatives of importance facilitate the development devices. Here, germanium‐based Ruddledsen–Popper series (CH 3 2 ) NH n −1 Ge Br +1 is investigated, derived from parent 3D ( = ∞) CH GeBr...

Photoluminescence (PL) of type III (high-purity wet synthetic) silica excited by a XeCl excimer laser (hν=4 eV) is reported. Time-resolved spectra show that PL band peaked at 1.9 eV can be induced the irradiation. This exhibits fast rise time (<20 ns) but decay several microseconds. The possible mechanisms photogeneration and photoexcitation defects related to this emission are discussed.

This work investigates nanostructured Ho0.5Ca0.5MnO3, considered a model system of the Ln0.5Ca0.5MnO3 series manganites with perovskite structures featuring small lanthanide (Ln) ions half-substituted by Ca ions. Here, we propose modified hybrid sol–gel–solid-state approach to produce multiple samples single batch, obtaining very high crystalline quality and ensuring same chemical composition, an average particle size in range 39–135 nm modulated on-demand controlled calcination process. Abstract Anomalous thermal transport of Cs 2 NaYbCl 6 double‐halide perovskite above room temperature is reported and rationalized. Calculations phonon dispersion relations scattering rates up to the fourth order in lattice anharmonicity have been conducted determine their effective dependence on temperature. These findings show that specific group velocities lifetimes increase if raised 500 K. This, combination with anharmonicity, provides microscopic mechanism responsible for conductivity...
