This paper presents impact first large-scale randomized evaluation OLPC using data collected after 15 months implementation in 319 primary schools rural Peru. The results indicate that program increased ratio computers student from 0. 12 to 1. 18 treatment schools. expansion access translated into substantial increases use both at school and...

The program increased ratio computers student 0.12 to 1.18 treatment schools. expansion access translated into substantial increases use both at school and home. No evidence is found effects on test scores math language. There some evidence, though inconclusive, about positive general cognitive skills....

Using Young Lives longitudinal data from Peru, this paper explores the relationship between socioeconomic status (SES) measured at age of one, opportunities to learn (OTL) and achievement in mathematics ten years later. Four variables OTL were measured: hours class per year, curriculum coverage, quality teachers' feedback, level cognitive demand. The last three through an analysis exercises attempted by fourth grade students their notebooks workbooks. Multivariate showed a robust association...
