This paper investigates the risk assessment of subsynchronous resonance for series compensated UHV transmission Ximeng coal-fired power base, which exemplifies a common problem in development grid China. To avoid huge computational amount offline analysis on resonance, new method online and forewarning based time-domain simulation is proposed. In addition, various suppression measures are summarized discussed, as well combination multiple measures.
Subsynchronous resonance risk assessment in power system is mainly accomplished by offline simulation analysis, for a practical project, researchers have to consider all kinds of possible typical operation modes, which might be huge amount large-scale transmission system. This paper comes up with subsynchronous online monitoring, analyzing and early-warning technologies, applies time-domain adaption process develops an analysis based on computer cluster.
