In the engineering application of alloys as structural materials, mechanical properties and corrosion resistance are key factors that need to be considered, which closely related microstructure. The effects Al on microstructure, AlxCoCuFeMn (x = 0, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1) high-entropy (HEAs) have been investigated in present work. results indicate HEAs a typical dendritic structure, free CoCuFeMn HEA has Cu-rich FCC1 phase interdendrites region Fe–Co rich FCC2 dendrite region. When content...

The diffusion kinetics of Mg–Sm binary system in the temperature range 723–798 K was systematically studied by solid-state technique. Four intermetallic compounds (IMCs) Mg41Sm5, Mg5Sm, Mg3Sm and MgSm were observed zone. coefficients activation energies four IMCs estimated based on quantitative distribution elements examined electron probe microanalyzer (EPMA). Mg5Sm phase has largest energy 231.10 kJ/mol, while Mg41Sm5 smallest (111.45 kJ/mol). mechanical properties investigated using...

The unique properties of graphene have attracted the interest researchers from various fields, and discovery has sparked a revolution in materials science, specifically field two-dimensional materials. However, synthesis’s costly complex process significantly impairs researchers’ endeavors to explore its structure experimentally. Molecular dynamics simulation is well-established useful tool for investigating graphene’s atomic dynamic behavior at nanoscale without requiring expensive...
