Abstract Using the polymerase chain reaction, we quantitated amount of human T‐lymphotropic virus type I (HTLV‐I) proviral DNA in peripheral blood mononuclear cells from 18 patients with HTLV‐I–associated myelopathy/tropical spastic paraparesis; 17 HTLV‐I carriers without paraparesis, or other autoimmune inflammatory diseases; and 19 seronegative control subjects. The was 10‐ to 100‐fold higher HAM/TSP who had diseases than diseases. onset myelopathy at a younger age (15 39 years) an...

We report the experimental results of valence band offset at a ZnO/GaN (0001) heterointerface. The heterointerface is prepared by growing ZnO layer on GaN/Al2O3, in which epitaxially deposited plasma-assisted molecular-beam epitaxy, while GaN template metalorganic chemical-vapor deposition. Ex situ ultraviolet and x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy have been used to measure ΔEV. measurements are done before after Ar+ ion cleaning surfaces. NW14A is a newly constructed undulator beamline for 100 ps time-resolved X-ray experiments at the Photon Factory Advanced Ring. This was designed to conduct wide variety of measurements, such as diffraction, scattering and absorption fine structure. Its versatility allowed by various instruments, including two undulators, three diffractometers, pulse laser systems an chopper. The potential detection structural changes on time scale demonstrated examples photo-induced in organic crystal...
